Tell Congress: We need health care, not corporate health insurance
Are you angry about corporate insurers getting in the way of your health care? So are we.
Health insurance corporations like Aetna, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare routinely harm patients in order to pad their own profits. These firms limit us to narrow provider networks, require “prior authorization” of routine medical care, and outright deny claims. We pay the price while they reap the rewards.
Americans are sharing heartbreaking stories of mistreatment on the part of their health plans. They are yearning for a real fix to this longstanding problem that would allow them to access the care they need, when they need it, without the fear of going bankrupt.
Physicians for a National Health Program has long advocated for a system that delivers universal coverage, comprehensive benefits, and zero out-of-pocket costs—free from profit-driven conflicts of interest. That’s because we see the human costs of corporate insurance in the exam room, every single day.
We’re listening to your stories, and we’re fighting for a better system that delivers actual health care for all Americans. Now we need Congress to act, and put an end to corporate denials of health care, once and for all.
Add Your Name
We, the undersigned, demand that Congress get insurance corporations out of our health care and deliver the high-quality system that Americans need and deserve.
