SIGN THE PETITION: Expand South Carolina Medicaid insurance under the federal Affordable Care Act and American Rescue Plan!
Since 2017, our state has foregone billions of dollars in Federal Government support for making health care affordable and accessible by hard-working, low-income South Carolinians.
Too many jobs in our state are below “living wage” level, so being able to afford health insurance is out of reach for over 200,000 of our citizens.
The result is too many South Carolinians have been foregoing needed health care and essential medications when faced with the prospect of high household medical debt. When they do get sick, their more expensive treatment costs our state dearly in lives and productive livelihood.
By signing this petition, you are helping inform your SC Senator and SC House Representative that their constituents do support expanding SC Medicaid, as called for in legislation currently being considered in the 2021-2022 State Legislative Session: House Bill 3226 and Senate Bill 210.
